Bark beetle larva
A bark beetle larva is a legless, yellowish white or white larva curved crescent-like towards its bottom side. The body has numerous callus-like pads, which serve as a support for the larva when it moves. This is a rare and universal bait. Using it, you may catch such fish as large roach, ide, white bream and common bream. You can find a bark beetle larva in old rotten stumps or trunks of fallen trees. It is recommended to store harvested larvae in a container with pieces of bark or sawdust.
