Cockchafer
Also known by some as the 'Doodle Bug' or 'May bug', cockchafer as a bait attracts fish pretty well. Large ide, chub and asp bite it especially often. Cockchafers appear in late spring or early summer. A cockchafer can be caught with a butterfly net during evening twilight or in the morning before dawn, on solitary trees, e.g. on birches, or in the field. Caught cockchafers are to be kept in a container with greenery they feed on.
